Let's put the cow metaphors to rest...

The other day I read two different articles online and the old adage of  “why should he buy the cow, if you are giving the milk away for free” came up. I scratched my head in mild disbelief.  Are women still referring to themselves as cows? Is sex simply a tool to get someone to do something they may not want to do? Don’t we want someone to “want” to marry us and not just because we are withholding the “goodies”? Now, I’m not saying that remaining celibate before marriage is a bad thing, but it should not be the ace in the hole.

For fall too long I felt that way. Day after day, I felt increasingly isolated from everyone and everything. For years, I languished in a low-grade depressive funk.
